Ashfield is pleased to announce the appointment of Carey Galvin as Global Head of Quality and Compliance for Ashfield Commercial, Patient Solutions and Medical Affairs.

A member of the Ashfield U.S. team since 2016, Carey most recently served as Vice President of Quality and Compliance for North America. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing all quality and compliance functions across Ashfield’s international presence, reporting directly to Greg Flynn, Global President of these Ashfield business units. Carey will be based in the company’s Fort Washington office.

With this appointment, Carey joins the Global Leadership Team and will lead the development and delivery of the Quality and Compliance strategy in collaboration with the business unit teams in all the countries where Ashfield has a presence.

Carey has spent her entire career in healthcare compliance in various settings including the pharmaceutical industry, specialty pharmacy, hospital networks and physician practices, insurance and device manufacturing. Carey attended Rutgers University School of Law and is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association.

In announcing her appointment, Greg Flynn remarked: “We have found that Carey’s varied experience gives her a unique business and legal perspective that is well respected within the industry. Since joining Ashfield, Carey has transformed our Quality and Compliance department here in the U.S., creating a key differentiator for Ashfield and providing a valuable client service. We look forward to continued progress in this area throughout the globe under her leadership.”

With the current COVID-19 situation, Carey’s proactive leadership has been critical to planning and communicating our risk management and business continuity measures to both employees and clients. Carey is working tirelessly with our global task force to provide reassurance, look after the well-being of our staff and clients and adapt business operations where needed.
