Chris Corbin had built up 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical sales representative, regional business manager and national sales manager before he and his wife, Sam, saw an opportunity to provide high quality, flexible and cost effective sales teams to pharmaceutical companies. Since then, the organisation has rapidly grown into a true success story.
Ashfield were acquired in 2000 by UDG Healthcare (formerly, United Drug), which has given the organisation an opportunity to grow and acquire 19 companies complementing the existing services and continue to provide an exceptional partnership to the pharmaceutical industry. Providing services on an international level, Ashfield is now the leading outsourced sales provider in eight countries including the UK, Ireland and Spain and is one of the largest healthcare communications agency groups globally.
With a continually developing service portfolio since its original contract sales offering, the business now provides contract sales teams, customer service reps, medical science liaison officers, remote detailing, clinical educators, medical information, healthcare communications, market access, market research, training, event management, digital, creative and pharmacovigilance services to clients in over 50 countries, with more than 6000 employees in 22 countries.
