Mar 2019-Fort Washington, PA: Ashfield Medical Affairs is pleased to welcome Michele Reed as Vice President of Business Development for Ashfield Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance.

Michele will be responsible for expanding Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance services within Ashfield, reporting to Ashfield Medical Affairs President, Amy Van Sant.

Michele comes to Ashfield from Icon where she served as Vice President, Account Management in the US Market Access and Reimbursement division. At ICON, Michele led a multidisciplinary team providing payer marketing and market access strategic consulting and tactical programs to pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Her focus was on the design and implementation of strategic and tactical solutions across various channels, including retail, hospital/health system, and specialty pharmacy throughout the product lifecycle. Prior to her role in Account Management, Michele led a group of PharmDs, medical writers, and medical librarians delivering clinical expertise, market analysis, and clinical content for agency clients.

On her appointment to VP of Business Development, Michele said: “I am delighted to be joining Ashfield at a time of such high energy and growth. I am eager to leverage my background and training as a pharmacist as well as my experience in pharmaceutical services to design solutions for our clients that put patients at the forefront.”

Michele Reed, PharmD, RPh, earned her PharmD from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and she has served as adjunct faculty for the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of the Sciences and Temple University. In addition to her work at ICON, she also has experience in pharmacy management as well as medical information and digital health product development within the pharmaceutical industry.
