Ashfield Meetings & Events and their exhibition services company Medex-Media have over 25 members of staff working at the European Cancer Congress (ECC) this week.
The ECC is a biennial congress which combines the scientific expertise of the most important European oncology professionals with the aim of improving the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients. This year’s congress takes place in Vienna, Austria from 25-29 September.
Medex-Media have been working and building experiential booths for clients at ECC for over 20 years. Their booth builds this year total 447m² and have taken 1,380 man hours to design, create and build (the equivalent of 57-and-a-half days). The exhibitions services company have staff on-site delivering projects for a variety of clients throughout the congress.
Ashfield Meetings & Events have booked a total of 4,447 room nights in Vienna over the four-day congress. The agency are also handling attendance for over 680 delegates, alongside the management and organisation of 77 smaller meetings running in conjunction with ECC.
Andrew Winterburn (Global Business Director) commented on the attendance at ECC: “ECC is one of the largest congresses in the pharmaceutical calendar and we are really pleased to have such a large number of staff working at the congress. We have staff from both the UK and US offices working at the event, which just goes to show how important the congress is.”
