The Investors in People standard is based on 20 years of leading practice. The standard sets out a clear structure and benchmark for improvement, to help every team be the very best they can be. The 10 indicators including empowerment, continuous improvement and leadership.
Ashfield has been recognised as an Investors in People Company since 2003. For the first time, this years’ assessment included other companies across the division: Ashfield Meetings & Events, Ashfield Insight & Performance and MASTA.
The assessors conducted over 90 interviews with senior leaders and a selection of chosen staff across the businesses, visiting our offices in Ashby and Leeds.
We are delighted to announce that we once again successfully met the standard.
Comments from the assessors included:
“Most people remain enthusiastic about change and eager to move onwards and upwards. They take great pride in working for a company with such a huge reputation for quality service and delivery, that has built this reputation from humble beginnings, but that still has an underpinning sense of ‘family’ and inclusion. Their pride stems from knowing that they are making a real contribution to the continuing successful growth and reputation of the company. Certainly the loyalty and commitment of employees; be they newer or longer serving, is very evident across the company”
“Comprehensive training and development programmes continue to provide people with the confidence to deliver sometimes ambitious targets and excellent customer service; from an early stage in their employment, through to successful careers”
“People remain very self-motivated but also rely greatly on a robust, visible and accountable leadership team and managers. There is no doubt that the management team commands a great deal of respect and trust and people are positive about the changes in the management structure. Whilst people continue to talk about the founder and former MD very warmly and positively, they also welcome the approach of the new MD, with new practices being interwoven with the tried and trusted ways. It was especially heartening to know that the MD’s dinners continue to play a constructive role in engaging people throughout the business; this is much appreciated by employees”
