Ashfield Healthcare Communications was pleased to attend the BIMA Digital Day in November, which links industry professionals with schools and colleges across the UK to raise awareness of the fantastic opportunities for young people in a digital career.
The BIMA Digital Day included a mix of insightful presentations; videos and a range of digital challenges were also put to the students by the three major sponsors Vodafone, Standard Life and Sony Music UK. Sony Music asked the students to develop a digital marketing campaign to help promote the release of an upcoming album.
Working with Urmston Grammar School in Manchester, Ashfield Healthcare Communications’ diverse team of project managers, developers, designers and strategists shared with students the broad spectrum of digital careers in an industry they might not normally consider.
Now in its fourth year and with over 5000 students already having taken part, Digital Day is a proven success story with a lasting impact on the students in terms of future career opportunities.
A representative from Urmston Grammar School said: “Thank you to Ashfield for being our Digital partner for BIMA Digital Day. The students really enjoyed the day and took a lot away from the experience, which no doubt came from speaking to you and your team.”
It also sparked the interest within Ashfield in what the future has in store in terms of the ideas from a digital native generation and what we can do to shape and mould that future.
