Ashfield Meetings & Events recently launched Future Focus, a two-year employee development programme, in the US.

Future Focus is a training program designed to develop individuals within Ashfield Meetings & Events to take on critical leadership roles in the future. The program will expose individuals to different areas of the business giving them a broader scope of experience in order to develop their skills and prepare them for the next stage of their careers.

After a thorough application process and internal assessments, 12 individuals from the US offices in Ivyland (PA) and Indianapolis (IN) were selected. Each have been given a tailored personal development plan which will act as a guide for their Future Focus journey.

Nicola Burns (Global Managing Director) commented on the new program: “We recognize that we have hard working, talented staff in-house that we need to give the opportunity to develop and grow with the business. We launched the programme in our UK offices in November and following its success have now rolled it out in the US. Ultimately we are succession planning to create an experienced senior team of the future.”

The process involves six modules that will be completed within a two-year timeframe and is designed so that participants may self-asses their skills to identify where they believe areas of improvement lie. They will then be provided with training that addresses these areas and allows them the opportunity to improve and progress within the company.
