Looks to Continue Company Growth and Client Results

Ivyland, Pennsylvania – 19 February , 2016 – Ashfield Commercial and Medical Services has announced that Mike Stout has joined the company as CEO of its Commercial and Clinical business units (contract sales, nursing and patient support services) in the United States, effective January 11 2016. Located at the company’s national headquarters in Ivyland, Pennsylvania, Mike takes over the role from Nigel Mansford, who will continue with the company in a newly created role after a comprehensive handover. Mike comes to Ashfield from Mylan, where he has been Vice President, Global Commercial and Sales Excellence, since 2013. Mike will report to Chris Corbin, CEO and founder of Ashfield Commercial and Medical Services.

Mike joined Mylan in 2009 as Vice President of Sales Strategy and Operations for the Specialty Business. Under his leadership, the sales organization expanded from 185 employees to more than 300, the internal HQ business relocated to the East Coast and grew from three employees to more than 100 employees, and revenues increased from $200M to over $700M.

Prior to Mylan, he was vice president of sales and sales operations at Valeritas with responsibility for creating a commercial sales organization for the start-up company. He spent 18 months as part of the commercial team to secure venture capital financing for the business to launch V-Go, a disposable insulin delivery device for diabetes.

Earlier in his career, Mike spent 15 years at Sanofi as a sales representative for cardiovascular and hospital specialty sales, district sales manager, brand manager for Lantus, regional sales director, and associate vice president of sales force effectiveness.

After the US handover process is complete, Nigel Mansford will head up Ashfield’s contract sales businesses across the EUCAN region, which includes the operations across the European markets and Canada.
