10 April 2019 was cause for great celebration, as the winners of the CEO Awards 2018/19 and their guests were welcomed to Ireland, culminating in a wonderful evening at the CEO Awards recognition dinner. The winners - who travelled from the UK, USA and as far as Japan, spent two days in the Powerscourt Hotel, Co. Wicklow, otherwise known as the ‘Garden of Ireland’.
A tasty lunch in a traditional Irish venue gave all guests the opportunity to meet each other ahead of the recognition event. That evening, guests were welcomed by the Senior Executive team at a special drink’s reception overlooking the beautiful Powerscourt Estate. Following on from this, the seven award category winners from UDG Healthcare, Ashfield and Sharp were presented with their awards by our CEO Brendan McAtamney. The evening finished with entertainment from Irish-based male chamber choir, The Ramparts, which was a perfect way to close the evening.
Andrew Sutton, Vice-President of Medical and Scientific Services at Ashfield Healthcare Communication said: “I am extremely proud that the team has won this award. Over the last 3 years, the haematology account at GCC has grown dramatically, with significant business gained from competitor agencies. This has been achieved through building excellent relationships with our clients and a real focus by everyone on the team on the quality of our project management and writing. It is great to see our hard work and commitment recognized by the senior management at UDG Healthcare.”
Tara Schweighard, Senior Chemist, Analytical Services for Sharp who also attended the awards dinner said: “I take a lot of pride in my work and it is an honor being recognized for my hard work. I always strive to be the best that I can be and generate a quality product for our clients. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by a great team that support me in my efforts and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we at Sharp Clinical meet the high standards of quality that our clients require.”
Congratulations again to all of our winners and everyone who was nominated. We are already looking forward to receiving the nominations for the 2019/20 awards.
