Patrick Harty, PhD
Director of Strategic Communication
Patrick has been working in the field of medical communications since 2007. He has experience with a broad range of therapeutics in the areas of rare metabolic diseases, neurology, virology, and psychiatry. Within these areas, Patrick has developed content for a wide array of medical media, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, monographs and journal supplements, websites, interactive training CDs, patient case libraries, and MOA videos.
He has contributed to the planning and execution of publication plans as well as the development of thought leader engagement strategies and speaker training content in preparation for product launches. He is also trained in meeting facilitation. Before entering the field of medical communications, Patrick obtained a PhD in behavioral and cellular neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh. After post-docs at Johns Hopkins and NINDS, he spent 6 years doing basic neuroscience research with a small biotech company.
