Cindy Cooper, who is currently a Regional Field Trainer for Ashfield U.S, tells us why she loves her job having worked with Ashfield for over more than 9 years.

When did you decide you wanted to be a Regional Field Trainer?

For my entire career, I have always been in a role which included leadership, administration or management, therefore this job came naturally to me. I think the job is a very good fit for me as I love to coach others and set an example of excellence.

What do you think you’ve learned while working at Ashfield?

Dedication. The importance of dedication to career development and seeing the fruits from that engagement since day one.

What do you love most about your job?

I love coaching others! I love helping them to better themselves in their roles and giving away what I have learned along the way during the many years in my career. I feel that this job is also an excellent challenge because every day I am reminded of the importance of my role, and how I always need to be at my best; setting an example by role-modelling in all that I do.

What advice would you give someone who was interested in a role similar to yours?

I would tell them to gain all the experience that they can, preferably from multiple different settings. I have learned that different experiences help you to be well rounded and to always look at the bigger picture – it gives you a broad base to build on. Once they have this experience, I would advise then to engage in opportunities to educate and lead others. Finally, I would always say to keep your mind active and never tire of learning more.
