Ashfield Healthcare Communications is proud sponsor of the Annual ISMPP meeting, taking place May 1-3, in National Harbor, Maryland, USA. Not only will we have a booth in the main exhibition hall but we will also be co-facilitating the “Successful Publications Steering Committees: Practice Pearls from Biopharmaceutical, and Agency Perspectives” workshop.
This year’s theme, “Advancing ethics and scientific integrity in an era of data-sharing” will explore topics such as responsible data sharing, challenges in using patient-reported outcomes and assessing publication impact in an online world, to name a few.
Delegates will also be able to choose from a number of workshops such as “How to integrate digital advances into your publication strategy” and roundtable sessions including “Patients and publications” for lots of interesting debate.
On the morning of Monday May 1 Morgan Hill, PhD, Scientific Director of Infusion and Rebecca Rozich, PhD, Vice President of StemScientific, will be co-facilitating one of the pre-conference workshops “Successful Publications Steering Committees”, alongside co-faculty members Kenneth Pomerantz, PhD, Senior Director, Global Scientific Communications with Alexion, and Brian Scheckner, PhD, Director, Medical Communications with Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
Participants can expect to understand more about the essentials of successful publication steering committee (PSC) conception, formation, development and execution. This workshop will aim to encourage use of PSCs by demonstrating how they:
- Foster increased transparency, investigator engagement, and consistency in data sharing and disclosure
- Optimize data output and publications from clinical trials and increase the impact of these data on the academic and healthcare communities by reaching the most appropriate audiences
While we’re at ISMPP we will also be looking to have lots of interesting discussion with visitors to our booth as we seek to further understand the next generation of successful publication planning. We will be looking at how far pharma companies are on their journey to meeting the new EU regulations on the publishing of clinical trial results understandable to a lay audience, and not only that but what new strategies and channels pharma companies are adopting for data dissemination to ensure published evidence reaches busy physicians in today’s challenging environment.
Will you be at the ISMPP meeting? If so, and you would like to be part of the conversation on where the future of publication planning is heading, then do pop by our booth – we’d love to talk to you and look forward to seeing you there!
