There are lots of reasons why, as individuals, we do the jobs we do. But at Ashfield, why do we do what we do?

Of course, we’re here to make money. And yes, we want to be successful. But, ultimately, we do what we do because we have the opportunity to improve people’s lives.

The Ashfield Way is a Division-wide initiative that gives all of our 6,000 employees, across the 22 countries we have offices in, the opportunity  to identify their role in improving people’s lives. Whether they are part of Ashfield Commercial, Clinical, Healthcare Communications, Insight & Performance, Market Access, Medical Information, Meetings & Events, Pharmacovigilance or division, field based or office based, all of our employees have a part to play.

The Ashfield Way gives us all something to collectively work towards and constantly challenges us to think about the impact we have. Along with our shared values of Quality, Partnership, Ingenuity, Expertise and Energy – the Ashfield Way helps us focus on not just what we do but how we do it too.

Ashfield Cares

Our mission is to improve lives. At Ashfield, we do this every day by working with our clients to help healthcare professionals and patients get the medicines, knowledge and support they need.

We do not stop at this though. We are committed to using our size, resources and geographical reach to have a positive impact on the communities around us and wider society through the work of Ashfield Cares.

We seek to actively support charities and good causes by donating our money, our time and our skills to worthwhile projects. We consider this focus to be core to our organisation’s success – it’s part of The Ashfield Way.

Ashfield Cares is a truly global initiative. All of the Ashfield businesses are represented at Ashfield Cares committees at either a business unit or site basis. Our committees are comprised of employees at all various levels who all have a passion for partnering with and helping others and have an energy for fundraising and giving time to worthy causes.

The focus of Ashfield Cares is on causes that support:

  • Healthcare – for example but not limited to, life limited children’s charities, disability related charities, hospices, hospital wards and medical equipment.
  • Community development – for example but not limited to, funding for and employees helping with regeneration projects, youth centres, homelessness support and prevention, air ambulance, community events, and children’s amateur sports clubs.
  • Education – for example but not limited to, donations for school and playground equipment, school and student projects, student sponsorship, use of Ashfield buildings for school events, interview technique workshops and student mentoring.
