What’s a typical day like for you?

Spending the day in a training room or an office with a bunch of great people, all going through and sharing similar experiences.

What’s the best part of your job?

Lunchtime walks in a park? … Just kidding. At this stage, it’s the personal feedback and interactive learning sessions led by approachable, fun and knowledgeable people.

What helps you concentrate when writing?

Coffee, chocolate and suitable background music. It also helps if everybody else around me is concentrating on something, too.

Do you have any advice for aspiring Medical Writers?

Not to be afraid of having little to no medical writing experience. In many ways, you know more than you think. All can be learned and mastered with practice.

Can you explain the Allegro programme briefly to readers?

A cohort of people who get comprehensive training in all major types of work within Medical Communications and then they fly away from the nest to apply their knowledge.

Where do you see yourself in 5/10 years?

In a place worth my 5/10 years of professional and personal growth.

Who is your favourite author or inspiration?

My world view has changed after reading Factfulness by Hans Rosling. It was dubbed as “data as therapy”.

What are the top three things on your bucket list?

Climb Mount Kilimanjaro, explore Scottish Highlands, and continue learning tap dancing.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Volunteer for charities, learn to play a musical instrument and read more books

What fictional place would you most like to go?

Inside the Singing in the Rain movie iconic scene, joining Don Lockwood tap dancing in puddles.

What are some of the small things that make your day better?

Laughs with colleagues, or receiving messages/pictures from friends and family.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Dancing and hiking. Here’s a picture of me doing both of them simultaneously!
