Working at Ashfield

A career in events, not just a job in meetings

Our European headquarters is in the picturesque market town of Ashby De La Zouch, close to Nottingham, Leicester and Derby and easily accessible from the M1. From here, and offices in the USA, we plan and deliver around 2,500 meetings in 50 countries every year.

Our office (check it out here) was designed to meet the individual needs of our business and encourage fresh thinking and collaboration amongst staff. We have mind-bending graphics on the walls, a bank of virtual reality headsets, swish kitchen facilities and more Ikea furniture than you could shake a hex socket at. The space provides an inspirational and motivating environment for individuals to grow and develop, whilst retaining the fun, laid-back vibes of a modern, progressive agency.

We give our staff all the tools, support and autonomy they need to succeed. We have an award-winning training programme that has been recognised for delivering an exceptional employee experience, we continually invest in learning and development and we have recently redesigned our induction scheme for new starters. Additionally, we launched a Future Focus programme to create an experienced senior team of the future and have introduced SPARK THINKING sessions to encourage creativity. Hard work and commitment are rewarded with competitive salaries and a full package of benefits. Progress and experience are monitored through an on-going appraisal process, with on-the-job and developmental training.

After work, there’s always some sort of physical endeavour happening whether it’s running, yoga, rounders or five-a-side football. For those less inclined to exhausting periods of hyper-mobility we also engage in community projects, run initiatives like virtual reality week, embrace hygge (and stroking chinchillas), screen TED talks, go to the pub, help our staff learn foreign languages, promote health and wellness, hold regular supplier networking days (and an annual event called The Lab) and encourage the production (and sharing) of aesthetically-astute baked goods.

So, whether you would like to create a solid base of invaluable experience to build your future career on or you’re looking to upgrade your existing experience to a position of empowered responsibility, we probably have a role just for you. If you like the idea of being a key character in our continuing success story, check out our current vacancies in the column to the left.
