Creative Marketing Designer

Are you a brand marketing genius?

Supporting branded communications across the Ashfield group of businesses, your role as Creative Marketing Designer will involve collaborating with marketing, communications and business leaders across a range of healthcare services to develop creative solutions for delivery across all media. You will also act as our brand guardian and be an ambassador for strong and effective communication design.

The role involves driving the development of new Ashfield branded materials, creating compelling concepts and campaigns, and ensuring accurate positioning for both business and consumer audiences. You will deliver visually engaging stories and narratives that translate into compelling creative presentations and proposals, articulating strategic and tactical aims against project objectives to ensure appropriateness. It is therefore essential that any applicants have an understanding of branding and brand communications, combined with an exceptional level of creative capability to support the market-leading ambition across our business.

To be successful, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to develop the engaging narratives and compelling visual rationales that drive creative delivery, with the confidence and ability to present your ideas clearly. You’ll need exceptional creative design and technical skills, and be able to translate ideas into elegant and thought-provoking brand communications. A deep understanding and interest in creative trends, social media and digital technologies will therefore be extremely useful.

We are looking for someone who is qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a digital, graphic or marketing design related subject, with creative and marketing experience. You will need to possess highly creative concept development skills, with the knowledge and ability to communicate ideas and their application clearly, and have a proven ability to translate abstract thoughts into intelligent and elegant written, verbal and visual communications. An understanding of basic marketing principles is a must, as is having an adeptness in design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), comprehensive technical skills (in either PowerPoint or Keynote) and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. A good knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver, Muse and/or similar tools is also advantageous.

An intuitive and quick-thinking problem-solver, you will be able to interpret commercial objectives into highly creative and tangible marketing materials, with meticulous attention to detail. Needless to say, prioritisation and time management skills are essential to ensure deadlines are met. As well as being timely and effective with an enthusiastic and professional manner, you’ll need strong written and verbal communication skills and be a team player with an affable and approachable manner.
