The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for supporting our business development function and managing the reputation of our market-leading event agency. You will act as the brand guardian, producing engaging content and branded materials and distributing it across a number of online and offline channels to increase brand exposure and generate leads.
The role involves creating compelling concepts and campaigns that resonate with our corporate clients whilst articulating our strategic and tactical aims. You need to be a storyteller and conversation architect, delivering engaging stories and narratives that can translate into compelling business development presentations to capture the hearts and minds of our clients. It is therefore essential that any applicants have a strategic understanding, knowledge of brand communications and experience across multi-channel marketing communications. If you consider yourself a digital dynamo or a social media trailblazer you will also need to be able to turn your hand to deconstruct our data, creatively copywrite and manage our media.
The role will involve close collaboration with the business development and senior leadership teams to ensure the marketing strategy and tactical planning evolves in order to maximise lead generation. It will also involve creating tailored campaigns around existing clients and their specific prospects and projects. Experience of the events or pharmaceutical industry would be preferred, however if you are a brand warrior that can challenge strategic marketing objectives and deliver growth for our agency through proven tactical implementation techniques and lead generation then we would still love to hear from you.
We are looking for someone who is qualified to degree level (or equivalent) with at least five years’ marketing communications experience, including knowledge of content management, marketing automation and CRM systems. You will need to have solid understanding of effective B2B marketing communications, excellent project management skills, be a strong team player (preferably with line management experience) and have a keen eye for detail. You will also be willing to coach and develop others in designing and developing articulate and effective marketing communications.
You will need the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Any design software experience (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) would be advantageous as would any international experience, particularly delivering communications activity in the US.
