  • Dr. Edgar Ingold / VP Client Services

    Dr. Edgar Ingold has headed Physicians World Europe (PWE) since the company was founded in 1999. He holds a diploma in Biology, a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from the University of Tübingen, Germany, and spent 2.5 years in Japan as a postdoctoral fellow.

    Prior to joining PWE he spent 11 years at Boehringer Mannheim (now Roche), first, as Strategic Project Manager for Clinical Development, and later as head of the International Marketing department for therapeutic area Diabetes.

    Dr Ingold has extensive experience with the management of medical communication projects in a wide range of indications, including Cardiovascular Health, Diabetes, Oncology and Central Nervous System Disorders.

  • Monika Schrimpf / Key Account Manager

    Monika Schrimpf has been with Physicians World Europe since the company was founded, and is responsible for large global projects for key clients.

    Ms. Schrimpf earned a diploma in Biology at the University of Darmstadt, Germany, and worked at the European Molecular Biology Laboratories (EMBL) before joining Springer Publishers in Heidelberg. At Springer, she held a position in the department of Electronic Media and was the responsible commissioning editor for the Global Internal Medicine program.

    She has extensive experience in the area of scientific communication and in the management and organization of events for medical education and scientific marketing.

  • Wolfgang Schmitt / Key Account Manager

    Before joining Physicians World Europe (PWE) in 2002, Dr. Wolfgang Schmitt completed a Ph.D. and postdoctoral work in Biochemistry and Oncology at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany.

    Prior to that Dr. Schmitt trained as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) and Medical Technician (BTA), and served as Quality Assurance Manager (GLP) at Boehringer Mannheim (now Roche).

    As Key Account Manager at PWE he has been responsible for programs in Cardiology, Oncology, Psychiatry, Nephrology and Ophthalmology. He is an expert in CME and has experience in national and international projects for both Europe and emerging markets such as Russia, Middle East Africa and Latin America.

  • Sarah Cramton / Scientific Director

    Dr. Sarah Cramton earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Following a short postdoctoral tenure at UCLA, she pursued postdoctoral research, teaching and project management at the University of Tübingen, Germany.

    A native English speaker and fluent in German, Dr. Cramton joined Physicians World Europe in 2003 and leads the development of scientific content for both national and international projects. Her key therapeutic areas include Oncology, Hematology, Inflammation and Nephrology.

  • Kristin Westberg / Account Manager & Client Relations Manager

    Dr. Kristin Westberg studied biology at Mainz University where she completed her diploma in virology and did her Ph.D. in biochemistry & molecular biology with scientific journalism as additional subject. She studied in Lund, Sweden, worked as a guest researcher in Stockholm and is fluent in both English and Swedish.

    Dr. Westberg joined Physicians World Europe in 2004, supporting content development as a Scientific Manager. She then moved into Account Management with responsibility for national and international accounts. Since 2013, Dr. Westberg is responsible for business development and management of client contacts as a Client Relations Manager.
