Improving lives is something that is engrained in Ashfield’s culture – it’s the Ashfield Way. In fact, at Ashfield, we do this every day by working with our clients to help healthcare professionals and patients get the medicines, knowledge and support they need.

By partnering with YoungDementia UK, Ashfield Digital & Creative, an Ashfield company part of UDG Healthcare plc, has been able to donate its expertise in creating content and communications that engage and connect, by developing a new brand for the UK-based Young Dementia Network. This new initiative will enable the creation of a community; one that includes people living with young onset dementia, their family and friends, as well as organisations and professionals who work in the fields of dementia and social care. The Network will ensure that everyone affected by young onset dementia will be informed, feel connected to others and enabled to live life to the full.

Ashfield Digital & Creative was happy to undertake this pro-bono creative project as an extension to both the Ashfield Way and specifically Ashfield Cares – a global impact on society initiative which works to support various charitable causes and programmes through fundraising activities and the provision of time and skills.

The Network and its brand were officially launched at the Young Onset Dementia: Different Impact, Positive Solutions conference on 27 September which was attended by more than 230 people. The conference presented a combination of personal experiences, practical solutions and national initiatives designed to improve the lives of people with young onset dementia. Sarah Plummer, National Development Manager, YoungDementia UK, officially launched the Network and said this of the event, “We’re excited to have launched the Network at the largest young onset dementia conference of the year. We’ve had a great response so far and already Network members are telling us they want to be a part of this movement so they can improve services for younger people with dementia and connect with others. We’re looking forward to a very busy 2017 as we get the Network activity underway.”
