Ashfield is delighted to announce an award-winning evening at the EVCOM Live Awards 2016, which were held on Friday 18 November at Supernova, London.

The EVCOM Live Awards are one of the most respected marks of excellence in the live and experiential industry. The reputation of the awards is built both on the high quality of submissions and the rigorous, independent and transparent judging process, which includes leading clients and industry professionals.

Ashfield scooped a hat-trick of awards on the evening, was highly commended in a fourth category and sister brand SPARK THINKING also collected an accolade.

The first award collected was in the Pharma/Healthcare/Cosmetics Event category. The silver award was presented for Janssen’s HIVee (HIV Experience Exchange) which took place in Nice, France. The event, that brought together 200 junior HIV physicians from Europe, South America and Asia, was delivered by Ashfield Meetings & Events and Ashfield Healthcare Communications’ agency Zoetic Science. At the event, the physicians were empowered to build a network with their peers, enhance their learning, and ultimately improve global patient care. The event is now in its sixth year and fast becoming recognised as one of Europe’s leading forums for optimising patient care pathways in HIV through experience exchange. The same event also won a silver award in the Collaborative Event category and a bronze award in the Conference Overseas category.

Jan Wittkopp, Account Director for Janssen at Ashfield Meetings & Events, said: “Internally the HIVee event was a true collaborative effort that follows our Science Of Meetings approach connecting our excellence to create and deliver insight-led, personalised HCP experiences. The logistics, creative, production and venue teams of Ashfield Meetings & Events worked hand-in-hand with our colleagues at Ashfield Healthcare Communications who developed the creative and delivered the programme.”

We were also highly commended in the Internal Engagement category for Kollider, a hackathon event developed by Ashfield Digital & Creative. The main objective of this initiative was to combine the skill sets within our business that are not often married together, in an intense period of collaboration, to bring new approaches, new insights and new solutions that – ultimately – help patients. The final award, gold in the Public Event category, was presented to SPARK THINKING for their partnership with Leeds Beckett University and the delivery of their graduation festival in 2016. You can read more about the project here.
