Ashfield Meetings & Events is delighted to announce an award-winning evening at the EVCOM Live Awards, which was held on Friday 20 November at Olympia, London.
The EVCOM Live Awards (formerly Eventia Awards) are one of the most respected marks of excellence in the live and experiential industry. The reputation of the awards is built both on the high quality of submissions and the rigorous, independent and transparent judging process, which includes leading clients and industry professionals.
Ashfield Meetings & Events scooped three awards on the evening. The first award collected was the gold award for Life Sciences Event. The award was presented for Janssen’s EMEA Management Forum 2015, which took place in Athens. The 2015 event was the fourth annual EMEA Management Forum event that Ashfield Meetings & Events has managed in partnership with Janssen. Janssen and Ashfield Meetings & Events worked closely to create an immersive experience for delegates, which resulted in high levels of delegate engagement and a truly memorable event. Ashfield is continuing to collaborate with Janssen on future EMEA Management Forums.
Jan Wittkopp (Account Director for Janssen) said: “The EMEA Management Forum is a real team effort. It is a unique opportunity where we work on a content level with the leaders of their business to help shape future direction. This partnership allows us to add value to their entire communications strategy. Internally it is a collaborative effort with our logistics, creative, production, content and venue teams.”
The second honour went to Laura Ellis (Account Manager) who won the Rising Star award, which acknowledges and encourages exciting new talent in the event industry. This is a fantastic achievement for Laura who commented: “It was an honour just to be nominated for such a prestigious award. I am thrilled to have won. I am very thankful to Ashfield for the support they have shown me in developing my career and putting me forward for this accolade.”
The final award, silver for Agency Of The Year, was presented to the agency as a whole for having a standout year. Judges cited a new office opening in California, new business wins, increased employee headcount, a new UK headquarters and the launch of SPARK THINKING, as well as commending Ashfield for its initiatives to encourage staff development and its commitment to creativity.
Nicola Burns (Global Managing Director) commented on the award win: “It has been an extremely busy 12 months for our employees and the award win is testament to their hard work and dedication. It was fantastic to have a number of the team at Olympia on the evening to celebrate, including members of our Future Focus programme who represent the future of the agency.”
