Ashfield Meetings & Events has once again been named in the Special Events Magazine Top 50, the annual look at the largest players in the special events industry, compiled by Special Events and published in their September/October 2014 issue.
In the previous twelve months the agency managed more than 1,975 events in 55 countries, engaging with over 145,000 audience members through its offices in the US and across Europe.
In this year’s survey, Special Events asked large event producers to share their forecasts on major trends in event production. Integration of technology into events was a recurring theme from a large majority of the organisations making up this year’s list.
“We expect a demand for more innovative thinking, not only in meeting design, content and programme – but innovative solutions across supply chains” said Gavin Houston (CEO Americas, Ashfield Meetings & Events). “Remaining innovative will be the key to winning new business. Devising the most appropriate vehicle to deliver the business message in an innovative manner that engages with audiences will ensure business is contracted based on value delivered, and not procured solely on price.”
Ashfield Meetings & Events will imminently be launching a radical, secondary brand to help redefine these services and offer clients a new way of thinking that will be both “brave and disruptive” according to Houston. He added: “With the infrastructure and support of Ashfield it will give us two brands with a broader, more diverse skill-set and more powerful comms offering.”
