A number of senior members of staff from Ashfield Meetings & Events will be speaking at The Meetings Show in London later this month.
The Meetings Show is a major event for the UK meetings industry and takes place 7-9 July at Olympia. Organised by meeting professionals for meeting professionals it is focused around a large exhibition, multiple networking opportunities and professional education sessions.
Ashfield Meetings & Events presentations will cover a number of core topics within the industry (including strategic procurement, agency and corporation relationships, women in leadership, software solutions, increasing exhibition engagement and disruption) and will be delivered by key members of senior staff from Ashfield Meetings & Events, Medex-Media and SPARK THINKING.
On 7 July, Andrew Winterburn (Global Business Director) will participate in the ‘Working Effectively & Winning In A Strategic Procurement Environment’ session, which starts at 13:50 in Conference Room 3. Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the live meetings and events industry and was instrumental in the set-up and organic growth of Ashfield Meetings & Events’ global footprint.
On 8 July there will be several sessions, starting with Louise Goalen (Business Director, Venue Finding) who will be part of the panel discussion ‘How Best To Work with Agencies For Corporations’ starting at 9:50 in Conference Room 4.
Nicola Burns (Global Managing Director) will then join a panel of five females representing ‘Women In Leadership: The New A-Gender’ at 12:50 in Conference Room 3. Also on the panel will be Dr Kate Dashper from Leeds Beckett University (who recently appointed SPARK THINKING to manage the event production of their graduation ceremonies) and Emma North from Black Tomato.
At 13:50 in the same room Andrew Moore (Client Partnership Director) will present a session on ‘Transfer Of Value Readiness: Planning, Adopting & Implementing A Software Solution’ alongside Nicky Simpson, who is Director, Congress & Events for Astellas Pharma Europe. Ashfield Meetings & Events have provided event management support to Astellas since 2003 (including close to 200 events in 2014) and were recently retained as the sole event management supplier by Astellas EMEA Operations.
Luke Flett (Head Of Marketing, SPARK THINKING) will present the ‘How To Think Differently To Disrupt Your Events’ session at 14:50 in Conference Room 4. Disruptive thinking is a unique tool that can help create genuinely new, powerful, client solutions in a whole range of corporate communications. In the conference world, we can use the techniques to challenge the status quo, turn the event experience on its head and develop innovative ways to communicate with audiences.
On the final day, Gerry Montgomery (Business Director, Exhibition Services) will look at ‘Ten Steps To Increasing Exhibition Engagement’. This session will take place at 10:50 in Conference Room 3.
