The HBAA's Chris Parnham (Chairman) and Juliet Price (Executive Director) will be taking to the road at the beginning of June to visit event management and venue finding agencies between London and Manchester.
The aim of the roadshow is to take information out to the membership, create networking opportunities along the way and recruit new members. It will run from Monday 2 June to Friday 6 June.
The HBAA supports hotel booking agencies and venues by maintaining a full schedule of training, meeting and networking events throughout the year. Members include agencies, hotels, serviced apartments and venues, and range from global hotel brands to sporting venues. All members agree to adhere to the HBAA code of conduct, which defines best practice between agents and venues.
Ashfield Meetings & Events will welcome the roadshow to Ashfield House on Tuesday 3 June. A number of venues have been invited to attend to network and develop relationships in the local area.
Louise Goalen (Head Of Venue Finding & Travel) commented: “Ashfield Meetings & Events is a long-standing member of the HBAA and as such we are delighted at the opportunity to host a roadshow visit. It is a fantastic chance for our staff to hear about the membership benefits first hand, meet senior representatives and learn more about the code of conduct that is integral to our venue finding processes.”
Rebecca Shipley (Sales & Marketing Support Manager) has also recently joined the HBAA Events Committee alongside Louise Goalen (HBAA Events Committee Chair). The committee is responsible for organising landmark events in the HBAA calendar including an annual forum and various dinner events.
