Sharing real-life examples of how the industry is rising to the challenge of becoming patient-centric
Ashfield will be hosting two sessions at eyeforpharma Barcelona, Spain 2016, the largest pharmaceutical industry event in Europe, from 15th–17th March.
John Gerow, Service Team Strategy Partner at Ashfield, will present ‘At your service: challenging the traditional commercial model’ on 15th March at 16:30pm CET. Here he will discuss how the introduction of the customer service representative model is innovating pharma’s interactions with healthcare professionals and enabling the industry to better meet the needs of patients. With seven years’ experience of rolling out the model in 33 countries, John will share how customer satisfaction can be enhanced by sharing examples of ways in which healthcare professionals can support patients in their treatment journey.
On 16th March at 11:10 CET, Ashfield’s patient-focussed panel ‘Ideals to execution: A year on for pharma and the realities of patient-centricity’ will address the vision for pharma and the story so far, the challenges that exist, and look at some of the steps that can be taken to overcome these challenges. Debating these issues on the panel will be Paul Robinson, Executive Director Scientific Medical and Patient Perspective, MSD, and Andrew Schorr, Founder of Patient Power, alongside Ashfield industry experts Anita Osborn, Head of Nursing Operations, Jo Fearnhead-Wymbs, Account Director – Patient Engagement, and Helen Hey, SVP Global Business Development.
Commenting on the event, Helen Hey said: “At Ashfield we believe that patient-centricity is imperative to a successful pharma business. The patient journey can be complex, challenging and made easier by timely, accessible and relevant support from pharma and its partners. With almost one million patient interactions taking place each year through our global expert teams, we are continually refining our working and organisational methods, our products and services, and ultimately, the outcomes we deliver. We are looking forward to discussing these challenges, and suggesting steps that will help to overcome them.”
