Bayer UK and Ashfield Meetings & Events were delighted to scoop Most Effective Agency Collaboration at the International Corporate Event (ICE) Awards.
The ICE Awards are the only events industry awards open exclusively to in-house corporate event planners. The award success celebrates the partnership between Bayer and Ashfield Meetings & Events. The relationship, now in its fifth year, started with the provision of venue sourcing services and has developed to provide full service solutions including developing communication objectives, creating content and designing different message delivery methods.
Judges cited that the submission was a standout entry in the category. They felt that the submission demonstrated a best practice example of how to approach agency relationships to ensure successful results. The judges collectively picked up on the fact the effective collaboration has been built on trust and developed over time. They were also impressed with Ashfield’s approach to mapping out Bayer’s objectives and understanding the different educational needs of their audiences.
Dan Walker (Head of Content, Ashfield Meetings & Events) has worked with Bayer since the inception of the relationship and commented: “We are thrilled that our partnership has been recognised in this way but we see this very much as Bayer’s award. They are a forward thinking client that are willing to invest the time in developing strategic relationships with their suppliers. As a result we have been able to gather more insights and help them realise more potential from their internal audiences and help drive sales with their external stakeholders. In the on-going spirit of collaboration it was great to celebrate together on the night.”
Dan Walker and Heather Sharp (Account Director, Ashfield Meetings & Events) joined the internal Bayer UK events team at the Saatchi Gallery on 6 July to collect the award together. On the evening Bayer and Ashfield fought off shortlisted competition that included Blue Diamond, RBS, Shell and the Stroke Association.
