Ashfield Meetings & Events are proud to announce that Heather Sharp (Account Director) has been nominated for this year's C&IT 'A List'.

The list recognises 35 people under the age of 35 that are set to be future leaders in the UK events industry. Nominees are selected by senior management within the biggest event agencies, based on outstanding performance, leadership qualities and their impact and contributions to their respective companies.

Heather joined Ashfield Meetings & Events in 2010 as a Project Executive. She instantly showed passion and promise and has progressed through the agency to her current role. Heather is now responsible for a team of over 20 people that work with 15 clients. She has paid special attention to developing her team’s skills and encouraging collaborative behaviours and creative thinking.

Nicola Burns (Global Managing Director) commented on Heather’s nomination, praising her for her contribution to the business: “With her full service background, Heather continuously ensures her teams are acquainted with the latest tools and technology to add value to their clients’ events. She also enables the team to learn and grow by supporting the development of their creative confidence. Her experience and knowledge, aligned with her account development and people skills, have been instrumental in achieving growth across her client accounts. I enjoy working closely with Heather and it has been great to watch her career grow with us.”

Heather also commented on her nomination, thanking the business for the opportunities she has been given in her role: “To be considered amongst the best rising talent in the UK’s top event agencies is a real honour and I am delighted to be representing Ashfield Meetings & Events. It was interesting to meet so many of my peers at the ‘A List’ launch party and see the different career routes some of them have had.”

Heather concludes: “In my roles at Ashfield I have had the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of event management and now, as an Account Director, I am focused on ensuring the team deliver the highest possible service levels and achieve the business objectives of our clients. I am fortunate to have a great team around me and invest a lot of my time in developing them. I am hoping that one of my team will be included in a future ‘A List’ and that I can go on to emulate some of the successes that my Ashfield ‘A List’ predecessors (such as Laura Brown and Dan Walker) have subsequently had.”
