Ashfield Meetings & Events is delighted to announce the key appointment of Jo Brook to the board of directors as Engagement Director.
Jo joined Ashfield Meetings & Events (then WorldEvents) over 15 years ago and has 20 years industry experience. During her career with the agency she has held various positions including operational, account management and business development roles. Jo has experience of working across a variety of sectors including pharmaceutical, beauty, retail and automotive.
Since 2012 Jo has held the role of Head Of Engagement with accountability for the company’s creative, production, digital, communication and exhibition offerings in addition to managing the supply chain. Since her appointment to this role the team has grown from six to 21 full-time employees. This has been aligned with a number of new business wins and the growing frequency of the agency’s clients to utilise full service event delivery.
Jo said: “I am thrilled to take on the mantle of Engagement Director. With a number of new staff appointments over the past year and a number of new business wins to kick start 2015, it is an exciting time for the team. I am looking forward to leading further growth over the coming months and working closely with our agile consultancy resource SPARK THINKING which is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of live events and communication strategies.”

The full Ashfield Meetings & Events Board line up is now Nicola Burns (Global Managing Director), Andrew Winterburn (Business Development Director), Gavin Houston (CEO Americas), Penny Callaghan (Managing Director Europe) and Jo Brook (Engagement Director).
In addition to Jo’s appointment, Ian Anderson has joined the agency as Head Of Creative. Ian has over 25 years’ experience and has transitioned across from Ashfield Meetings & Events’ sister company – the KnowledgePoint360 Group – where he held the position of Director Of Creative Services. Jo commented on Ian’s appointment: “Ian will be a tremendous asset to our business. He will head up our growing creative team and will bring fresh ideas, new ways of thinking and working. He has spent 19 years with the KnowledgePoint360 Group and has a vast amount of insight and understanding in the pharmaceutical sector. He also has experience working with petrochemical, travel, finance and computing clients.”
