The global healthcare communications specialist relocates to larger premises to accommodate expansion plans for its Scotland office.
Fuelled by significant growth, new business wins and multiple new hires, Ashfield Healthcare Communications has moved to larger offices in Glasgow’s city centre.
The move was also driven by the agency’s announcement that they have implemented an active recruitment drive and plan to grow their team in Scotland with a number of new appointments in 2016.
Ashfield Healthcare Communications employs 700 staff worldwide with more than 350 UK-based associates. The Scottish team is headed by Rachel Forsyth, Vice-President of Medical and Scientific Services, whose career in medical communications spans 18 years.
Rachel said: “It has been a very busy and exciting time for the Ashfield team during its expansion into Scotland. Since opening here almost three years ago, we’ve grown in a careful and measured way, ensuring that we recruit senior and experienced medical writers in order to build a solid foundation of expertise. We are now in a position to be able to provide great career opportunities in medical writing for science graduates, as they can learn and develop under the mentorship of our strong, experienced team”.
Rachel continued: “Glasgow is a renowned location for medical congresses, drug development and an innovative science industry. With superb universities, Scotland continues to offer life science research that is among the best in the world. We’re committed to investing in the development of home-grown talented individuals and in providing clear career paths for advancement and growth with us.”
