Ashfield Healthcare Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of seven new board members to its UK Board of Directors, effective from 1st March.

The Board of Directors oversees the operation of Ashfield’s market-leading contract sales, nursing and contact centre teams across the UK. The seven:  Anita Osborn (Clinical Services Director), Caroline Wilcher (Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Director), Keith Buckby (Account Director), Prad Mistry (Business Development Director), Karen Bell (Business Development Director), Ian Robinson (Business Development Director) and Paul Frater (Operations Director) bring exceptional talent and commitment from a range of disciplines across the Ashfield business.

The Board will be focused on their pharmaceutical partners and supporting them with the strategic recognition and definition of what needs to be implemented to address their specific challenges in the marketplace. They will work with clients to address their need for ever-increasing flexibility, insight and innovation to deliver true value for healthcare professionals and patients and thereby continue to make a real difference in today’s increasingly complex healthcare landscape.

The seven newly appointed members of Ashfield Healthcare Ltd’s Board of Directors are:

Anita-OsbornAnita Osborn – Clinical Services Director

Anita joined Ashfield in 2002 and has held a number of roles within the Clinical Business Unit, most latterly Head of Operations in the UK. She qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1989 and since leaving the NHS in 1992 has gained a wealth of experience within the Pharmaceutical industry, working for companies such as Boots, Knoll and Lilly in a variety of positions including primary and secondary care sales and Regional Management as well as Training & Development and Specialist sales roles.

 

Caroline-Wilcher-smallCaroline Wilcher – Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Director

After working as a Medical Representative at Fisons and Rhône-Poulenc-Rorer (RPR), Caroline joined Ashfield in 1998 to work in recruitment and in 2000 took on the added responsibility of Training & Development. Caroline became Resourcing Manager in 2012 before being promoted to Head of Recruitment last year.  During her Ashfield career Caroline has seen the evolution of the business from predominantly primary care to the wide variety of roles we now recruit for our clients.  She has also helped to shape the market, with her graduate recruitment initiatives leading many clients to realise and utilise the potential of new-to-industry employees.

 

Keith-Buckby-smallKeith Buckby – Account Director

After working for Bristol-Myers Squibb as a medical representative Keith joined Pfizer, working in primary care and specialist roles, before being seconded as a Regional Business Manager.  In 2007 Keith joined In2Focus as a Regional Business Manager, first in Syndicated and then various dedicated teams before taking up a Project Manager role. In 2010 Keith was promoted to Head of Resourcing and in 2013 he was appointed Head of Operations whilst also Project Managing the Boehringer dedicated team.  For the last year Keith has continued to develop our strategic partnership with Boehringer, alongside a wider role as Operational Excellence Lead.

 

Prad-Mistry-smallPrad Mistry – Business Development Director

Prad started with Ashfield in 1997 as a Regional Business Manager and quickly progressed to becoming an Operational Manager. In 2002 Prad relocated to America to establish our US operations. Returning in 2006 Prad became a Project Manager with responsibility for a number of our UK clients and gained valuable experience as a Business Development Manager within the Ashfield Meetings & Events division. This led to a transition into the Ashfield Commercial division where Prad has continued to develop his career in a role he enjoys enormously.

 

Karen-Bell-smallKaren Bell – Business Development Director

Karen joined Ashfield in 2009 after holding senior roles within the Pharmaceutical Industry including Head of Sales and Sales Force Effectiveness at Napp, various Management and Healthcare Development Management roles with Napp and Pfizer and a RAD role at Takeda.  In 2011 she relocated to the Ashby offices as a Project Manager before progressing to the position of Business Unit Manager for the Nursing and Contact Centre. More recently, she has held a dual role as a Client Partnership Manager responsible for a broad range of clients, as well as leading the Commercial Contact Centre Business Unit.

 

Ian-Robinson-smallIan Robinson – Business Development Director

Ian spent 18 years working for Bristol-Myers Squibb (B-MS) in a number of roles culminating in Regional Business Director, where he was responsible for managing the UK CV / Metabolic team and the Diabetes portfolio. Following the transfer of the B-MS Diabetes business to AstraZeneca (AZ) in 2014, Ian took up the role of Diabetes National Sales Lead for AZ with responsibility for sales strategy and operational excellence of the field team. He has been involved in a number of successful product launches in both CV and Diabetes, most recently launching the first in a new class of drugs for Type 2 Diabetes.

 

Paul-Frater-smallPaul Frater – Operations Director

Paul joined Ashfield in 2003 and has held a number of Head Office and field based sales and management roles. In 2006 he joined the Ashfield Emerging Leaders Programme where he gained experience across a broad range of roles within the business. Paul also has experience across multiple Ashfield divisions as well as marketing expertise after a brand management role with Takeda UK. In 2011 Paul moved to the US Division of Ashfield with responsibility for project management and business development for both sales and nursing teams. Paul returned to the Ashfield UK Commercial Division in 2014 as Project Manager within syndicated operations before moving into the role of National Sales Manager for the Takeda UK account.
