New managers can now achieve one of the UK’s most prestigious management qualifications, thanks to the launch of a new training programme.

Developing Management Practice Level 5 has been introduced by Ashfield Commercial and Ashfield Patient Solutions UK and is accredited by one of the country’s foremost professional bodies, the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Those who successfully complete the course will receive a widely recognised Chartered Management qualification.

The 15-month, flexibly delivered course is open to both field and office-based colleagues and is run by experts at Henley Business School. The programme has been specially created to provide development support for those with ambitions of moving into management, as well as helping newer managers sharpen their skills.

Henley is part of the University of Reading and has an outstanding reputation. It’s ranked in the world’s top 50 business schools by the Financial Times and Economist and is one of the largest providers of business education in the world.

“We’re very excited to be able to launch this programme and provide this outstanding level of development for our people,” says Ailsa Newman, HR Director. “It’s a pleasure to work with the tutors and staff at Henley and benefit from their partnership with the CMI.

“The introduction of this course is a direct response to our people, who said it would be beneficial to have a recognised qualification at the end of their training – and that’s what we’re now able to offer for the first time.

“This course underscores the fact that we’re totally committed to investing in our people, helping them realise their ambitions and become the skilled leaders of the future.”

Delegate and Commercial Contact Centre Business Manager Nicky Constable said: “I am personally really excited to be a part of this professional management programme with such a prestigious business school in Henley. I feel very privileged to be working alongside such a fantastic management group in enhancing our skills and knowledge of management and leadership for the benefit of our people. I think above all else it will bring us closer together as a management team which will result in increased productivity across the board. Our 15 month journey starts here…”

The first delegates have already been selected and will soon begin learning or improving their skill through topics such as Operational and Project Management; Business Finance; Leading People; Self-Awareness; Building Relationships amongst many more key areas.
