One of the great things about being part of Ashfield Healthcare Communications is the generous spirit of the people that work here. Despite being super-busy, people also find the time to work with the local community and really get behind every charitable event that we undertake.
As part of the Allegro programme, we asked each intake to become involved in Ashfield Cares by undertaking a simple challenge to support a local worthy cause.
Those in intake 1 (above) decided to go with one of our all-time favourite fund raising ideas, a bake sale – they baked and then sold cakes, cookies, scones (marvellous scones) on the snowiest day in February (when most people couldn’t make it into the office) and managed to raise an incredible £107.16 for the Lifeshare Manchester homeless shelter. This amount was then fund matched by our Ashfield Cares Macclesfield committee, raising the contribution to a whopping £214.32!
Intake 2, who joined us in April, kept with the theme of helping others by reaching out to the local Silklife Macclesfield Food Bank, asking them what their immediate needs were. They then set up collection points on each floor at Victoria Mill offices, collecting a phenomenal 243 food items in just one week!
