Today, Ashfield Nordics donated the food items that they have gathered for our #AshfieldSpiritOfGiving Holiday campaign.

Our Ashfield Team across Sweden have donated to organisations in their nearby surroundings. Our Denmark Team donated to a church that provides food to families in need. In Stockholm, we collected food at the office and went to an organization called Convictus. This organization works with homeless, EU migrants, HIV-positive and people with drug and alcohol addiction.

This organization provides people with beds for the night, they have about 50 beds to offer. But when temperature falls and drops below -7 degrees, they try to accommodate as many as possible. The organization offers coffee in the morning, and every day they offer lunch, when evening comes, they provide their overnight guests with a meal.

On site, we helped unpack the food items, offered saffron buns (what we in Sweden would call FIKA, which does not have a direct translation into English), helped cater the lunch, wash dishes, fold laundry and chatted with guests and employees.

All of us feel very happy for what we have done, we feel that the food came to a place where it is really needed! We are grateful for our lives and we are grateful that we have been able to contribute to the lives of others.

Ashfield Cares aims to actively support both charitable and non-charitable causes, and assists organisations in addressing healthcare, community development, and educational needs through fundraising activities and the provision of time and skills.

This support underpins Ashfield’s pledge to harness its extensive resources and geographical reach with the determination and support of its employees to make a positive impact on the communities and wider society it serves. For more information, contact Kate Forknell.
